Japan’s Fujitsu is the first waterproof Android tablet reported to be released. Now, ASUS is reported to release a waterproof Android Honeycomb tablet just like Fujitsu. The ASUS TOUGH ETBW11AA is expected to hit Japan in November using Japan’s mobile network KDDI. The tablet will have a 7-inch dustproof and waterproof touch screen display and an Android 3.2 Honeycomb operating system.

The waterproof and dustproof features of this tablet really separate it from other competing tablet in the market. This rugged tablet can be used by most active users and you need not to worry about carrying the tablet at the beach or when you are caught by the rain outside.

The word TOUGH really represents the tablet because it is very sturdy and it is tested to survive a 76 centimeter high drop to a concrete flooring. That’s what you call tough.

Even if there is no confirmation about its battery capacity, the tablet is rumored to have a 7,500mAH battery. At 620 grams, the tablet is on the heavy side compared to other tablets. I guess the extra weight is due to its waterproofing feature.

Well, do you want to have a slightly heavier tablet but with waterproof feature over a lighter tablet with no extra protection at all? If yes, then this tablet is for you.
