Usually, if a tablet or smartphone is said to be powered by a Tegra processor, it is the dual-core Tegra 2 that we can find under the hood. Well, that is about to change because one Android tablet called the ZTE T98 just recently surfaced in China which is powered by a quad-core NVIDIA Tegra 3 processor. The small tablet is only 11.5mm thin with a 7-inch touch screen display.

Although it is not as thin as the thinnest tablet in the world, its 7-inch profile makes it feel thinner and small to hold. The 7-inch screen will have a 1280 x 800 pixels WXGA resolution. Based on the photo above, the tablet is a fingerprint magnet which is also true to most of the tablets nowadays. The tablet will have a 1GB of RAM and a 16GB of internal storage. It is also reported by Engadget China that this tablet will support TD1900/2010 and GSM900/1800 networks.

Even though a lot of details have been shared about the tablet, there is no information given about the SD card slot. There are two cameras for this device, the 5MP rear camera that can shoot 1080p video and the 2MP front-facing camera. Although the battery is rated at 4000mAH, we still don’t know how long it will last because Tegra 3 processor is known to be more power efficient. We are still waiting for the tablet’s launching date and it is very likely to hit China or Hong Kong first.
